GET READY

Now that you are fully registered and scheduled for your testing, please review the fact sheet below that can help aid you in preparing for your testing date:

Let’s get you QAC ready!

  • Stop Cleaning or Disturbing Suspect Areas – Avoid wiping, vacuuming, or applying chemicals for at least 24 hours before testing to prevent inaccurate results.

  • Turn Off HVAC Systems – Shut down air conditioning, heating, and fans about 2 hours prior to testing to prevent spores from circulating.

  • Close Windows and Doors – Keep them closed 12–24 hours beforehand so indoor air conditions are stable.

  • Remove Visible Dust and Clutter (Earlier) – A day or two before testing, lightly clean non-suspect surfaces and clear clutter to allow easy access to testing areas.

  • Identify Areas of Concern – Note any water damage, leaks, or musty odors so the inspector can prioritize those spots.

  • Ensure Access to All Areas – Unlock basements, attics, crawlspaces, and HVAC closets to allow full inspection and sampling.
